MCP3D Development Report — August 2019
Features presented in the MegaCryptoPolis 3D August 1 update.
Decentralized city property owners are invited to choose a building for the upcoming Microeconomy upgrade.
Getting ready for the Microeconomy launch this year with the final version of the Draft Book bribing complete description of all the changes to be introduced in the MegaCryptoPolis 3D.

Adjust a Building
Microeconomy upgrade will introduce a number of significant changes for the gameplay including new roles for buildings. We decided it will be fair to have a chance for adjusting a building type prior to the MegaCryptoPolis 3D launch without any additional fees or gas charges.
From now, every property owner can choose a building type for the Microeconomy release in the MegaCryptoPolis 3D Demo — choose your land plot in My Assets and press the “Change” button:

Every building type in its group will feature new options as described in the Microeconomy Draft Book. For example, different Residential buildings will give bonuses for different qualifications of a new generation Citizen tokens. For the Office buildings it will be a Business Center to receive Ether from the Global Fund and an Office Block to work with a District’s Fund.
As now all the buildings are presented in pure 3D, owners are able to choose the best angle for rotation to suit the surroundings:
Don’t forget to hit the “Confirm” button in order to save changes — from this moment other players will we able to see your newly adjusted building on the gaming map.
You will see other players’ buildings appearing in MegaCryptoPolis 3D Demo as their types are confirmed by their respected owners.
Switching Types
In the most cases players are able to switch a building type within its group (for example, changing a Villa to Condo for a Residential building; or switching Business Center to Office Block for an Office).
MegaCryptoPolis has a well-established functional zoning thanks to continuous organic process involving thousands of players making decisions in strong limitations reinforced by hundreds of Ether spent to form that landscape.
Every single building is on its certain place for a reason and a number of Influence Points is what defines a building performance and significantly impacts the land plot market value.
We just can’t afford an option to convert building types beyond their groups as that may lead to global and uncontrolled redistribution of Influence Points rendering the year-long city formation process senseless.
However, significant changes in Resource and Abundance those were recently presented for the Microeconomy allowed for a direct construction on the Resource Spot. That will make a slight shift in Influence Points distribution for Energy and Industrial building types, that’s why we decided to allow Mining and Energy building owners to switch between Energy* and Industrial.
* — in case a land plot has Resources Abundance >0 (Resource Spot nearby).
Choose a building option will be available until the MCP3D Microeconomy game launch. Once a building type was confirmed there is no way to change it later.
Along with that, all the land plots will be redeployed for the Microeconomy in the form of new ERC-721 tokens those will become available on the OpenSea.
Overlays
Among other features introduced in the last MCP3D Demo upgrade — these new tiny buttons on the top right corner of the minimap:
They will trigger an Overlay mode to compare land plots on the gaming map.
The first button with a star icon is responsible for the Influence points overlay:
Second button will show actual land plot prices:
The third button will show the Resource Abundance for each land plot:
The Grid option will highlight all land plots on the gaming map with colored border demonstrating its current status and availability for sale or rent.
Combining the Grid mode with any of the above mentioned overlays allows for a way more convenient search of a land plot meeting your criteria:
MegaCryptoPolid 3D client is optimized to work in the browser on any device including mobile ones. However, we recommend for running the Demo in Medium or Low quality mode on mobile phones and tablets with High quality chosen only for the most powerful desktops and hi-end smartphones.
We are still working to make the 3D client even more lightweight than the 2D version keeping improved speed and top level graphics.
